Wreath Making – Tammy Kemp (Room 125)

At the completion of this Workshop, you will have made a summer grapevine wreath.

Supplies needed:

  • 1 – 18-inch grapevine wreath
  • 2 – floral bunches of your choice
  • 1 - Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • 1 - Ribbon of your choice for a bow
  • Wire cutters (if you have them)

Supplies can be found at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, or Dollar Tree

Home/Life Organization – Beverly Alyea (Room 124)

Come learn some basic tips on Home/Life Organization.  There are many ways to organize.  What works best for you?

 

Crocheting – Sharyn Blair (Room 221) (*2 Hour Session*) (12 pm – 2:00 pm)

You will learn the basic stitches of crochet.  You will know the basic stitches & be able to read a pattern& make other simple projects. You will make a dish cloth in this Workshop.

 Supplies needed:

  • 1 package of 100% cotton yarn (peaches & cream is a good brand)
  • Crochet Hook size G or H
  • Container to hold yarn:  a bag, basket or small box

 

Cathedral Windows Quilt – Cindy Hardgrove (Room 225) (*2 Hour Session*) (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm)

You will make a coaster or small trivet.  You can continue at home to make something larger like a pillow.  All supplies will be provided.

  

Gardening – Shelly Gaudry (Room 125) (Part I - Session 2 & Part II - Session 3)

Part I will be “Composting 101” Ultimate Recycling for your plants.  Does it seem like whatever you buy & plant dies?  The answer is likely your soil type. Learn how easy it is to amend your soil with compost!

Part II will be “Propagating:  how to multiply your plants for free!”  Learn how to propagate plants and make a hanging planter.

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 – 1-gallon clear empty water bottle with lid
  • 7 – 8 oz clear empty water bottles
  • 2 cardboard shoeboxes to transport your hanging planter home
