Introducing the Church of the Nazarene

The Church of the Nazarene was organized in 1908 in Pilot Point, Texas. It's international headquarters is in Kansas City, MO. The Church of the Nazarene has more than 1.2 million members in 116 world areas.

The Church of the Nazarene is an evangelical church. It is the largest denomination in the Wesleyan-Arminian theological tradition.

We Believe:

1. In one God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. That the Old & New Testament were inspired by the Holy Spirit and contain all truth necessary to faith & Christian living.
3. That man is born with a fallen nature and is, therefore, inclined to evil.
4. That those who refuse to repent will be hopelessly and eternally lost.
5. That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is saved from sin.
6. That believers are to be sanctified wholly through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit will bear witness to the new birth & sanctification.
7. That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgement will take place.
